Talay Kata x Som Tam Super Deal

Ever since I am back from my Bangkok trip, I have been craving for some delicious Thailand food until it's finally satisfied over at Talay Kata's x Som Tam's event. Their Mookata Buffet is really the best, I have review it previously on my blog but this time round- Talay Kata have launched the two new buffet concept that's literally the best. I get to try their cooked food buffet as well as steamboat buffet there.

Firstly, it's the steamboat offering with Red Tom Yum Soup Base- this definitely satisfied me because I always have a hard-time choosing what I want to eat, so this is literally like best of both world. The Tom Yum Soup really matches so well with the type that I had over in Thailand, super love. I put some scallop, squid, golden mushroom and some white cabbage and the flavouring was just super yum.

I also tried out their colourful sticky rice dessert and I absolutely love it, even though it doesn't come with mango but it comes in different sides to match the sticky rice and I just love the colourful sticky rice because it's so pretty.

While the BBQ and Steamboat can take quite some time to prepare, Talay Kata solve this problem for you by upgrading it along with a wide range of Thailand-theme cooked dishes (changes on daily basis) - Shark Fin Soup, Braised Chicken, Fried Salted Egg Sotong, Fried Thai Basil Fish, Gai Satay (Super yummylicious), Grilled Chicken, Stir Fried  Veggie W Sambal Sauce, Drunken Prawn And Kang Kung Belachan which satisfied people like me that wanna eat something small while waiting for the BBQ food to be ready!

The cooked food buffet comes up with a steamboat top-up option to complete the meal which is super affordable~ it'll be officially launched on the 21st of April, so do mark your calendar to try out their newly launched cook-buffet over at :

Som Tam-

I have also previously review about my experience over at Som Tam on my blog, this time round I tried out their new set meals menu which was recently launched . It comes in 6 different types:  Thai Lemon Grass, Soft Shell Crab, Deep Fried Chicken Thai Garlic, Thai Basil Beef , Deep Fried Vegetable and Poached Tuna. All of them is super delicious, so it was really hard to pick out my favourite- but my absolute favourite will be the basil beef, soft shell crab and poached tuna. It's super worth it for the price, it cost around $8.80 to $12.80 and it's available all day (Monday to Friday), if you wanna have a drink to goes with the meal then it cost an additional $2 for a cooling lemongrass drink!  I was pretty shocked  to learn that because I thought the price range was for the student afternoon rate but guess what it's all day so you can eat there without burning a hole in your budget!

The Sample Store x Beauty Keeper

The Sample Store x Beauty Keeper event was a blast, arrived pretty early for the event so it was pretty empty around 11:30am +. So I had quite some time to look around, before people started streaming in and I got to know and made some lovely new blogger friends during the event. The Beauty Keeper was also pretty generous by gifting me a goodie-bag when I arrived, mine consists of the Mollifix Sports Bra, Lamsamyick Beauty Brush, A cute note x a small pouch , Stretch Mark Remover (which I don't need for now) and a Sing China Stamps as well as a soda drink.

Then we had lunch over at Carnivore, which was a pretty much great meal. The service was amazing, I usually go there for dinner and this is my first-time going there for lunch and it was pretty good. After which, some bloggers and I waited for about another hour before the event officially starts so it consists of lots of talking, getting to know each other and passing time.

This was what's in my goodie bag, I love the sports bra- I actually get it washed up and wear it to gym on the following day and it's just super great, it provides the wonderful support and the design x colouring of the sports bra is just super pretty! Other than the sports bra, I also love the cute Paris note book which comes in super handy to write and bring it around.

Facial Mask Beauty Brush

StarSuki Cosmetic Set

All Belle Eyelashes

Userism - D.D Cream (SPF 50)

Mollifix Sports Bra

Taiwanese Aboriginal Facial Series Mask

We also get to look at all the pop-up booth around the area before the event officially commence, there are just so many selection of Beauty Keeper stuff available and I just adore that much effort are put into their packaging and not to mention I love their lip colour as well- super stunning selection of colours. There are some items that had caught my eyes, like the D.D cream which is pretty new and unique in these industry - it's like a more advanced version of the B.B and C.C Cream, as well as the Taiwanese Aboriginal Facial Mask- not only it has a beautiful unique packaging, it's also based on the authentic local culture of the Taiwan People that's based on the natural ingredients for the masks which seems super amazing.

The actual event commence around 1:30pm, the highlight of the event revolve around make-up artist Candy Tiong teaching us how to use the Beauty Keeper skincare range via demonstration of the products on the Sing China Contestant's Face, it was wonderful to get to know which circumstances to go for which products and what's the benefits and correct way to use the products. There are also many giveaway on-going throughout the event, via Q&As.

Overall, it was a fun-filled event which enable me to get to know new people with the same passion and I also get to learn so much more about Beauty Keeper which is a wonderful platform with such a wide range of beauty product. White Day Celebration x DIY Flower In Box

Hey! Back with another post update, you might be wondering what's this white day celebration thingy? This is actually similar to the valentine's day we had on Feb 14th but this is the day when the guy gift the girl a gift in return on March 14th, it's widely celebrated by Korean, Japanese and some Chinese if I am not wrong. So on this special day, we went out to celebrate after our evening class T.T which ended at the weird timing of 6:30pm.

I was pretty much surprised when I receive the bouquet of roses, since I didn't really expect him to do much. He kind of magically give it to my after class ended, I am a huge lover for roses and flowers since it's so beautiful and has so much meaning. We went to Holland Village to have dinner, at first we wanted something western but in the end we ate the Japanese food which is a newly-open restaurant which taste hella good.

After our satisfying dinner, we went over to one of the bars to have a few beers before calling it a day since we had morning class on the next day- it's just a wonderful but short celebration. This post is long over-due but just suddenly though to share and update my blog~

With the roses, I make a "Flower In A Box DIY" video which is currently up on my channel now. (: It's a great way to keep the roses and make it last a little longer.

Thank you for reading (: have a lovely day ahead of you x

Bangkok Trip

The 4 days 3 nights trip to Bangkok was super fun, it's not my first time visiting Thailand but it's nevertheless fun-filled. So on the first day of my travel, I have to woke up at like 5 am to start preparing before heading off to the airport at like 6am (I was hella drained and tired) - so I kind of just doze off in the Royal Silk Lounge Area of Thai Airway, indulging in their sandwich x tea. Then about like 8am , we board the plane and the seat pretty comfy so I fell asleep and only woken up to the smell of food.

The whole airplane ride took about like 2 hours so we landed around 10am (which is 9am , BKK timing) which is pretty fast, we took the limousine service over at the airport to the hotel which took about another hour or so since the traffic can get pretty bad over at Thailand during the day.

After we checked in and stuff, we went over to Siam Paragon Shopping Mall to grab some traditional Thailand lunch and I wanted to get the Tom Yam Soup but it wasn't available so I ended up ordering a fried bee-hoon which taste pretty funny to me. But I didn't took much photos on the first day since I am still pretty drained, so we basically just had a full body massage, get our dinner and finished off the first day.

Day 2:

Day 2 started off pretty well, decked in the off-shoulder floral top from clothingwithlove and we set off to get to the Chatuchak Weekend Market which opens only during the weekend, it's my first time going to the this market and I found that it's easier to get over there by train then taking a cab due to the overwhelming amount of traffic. The Market are filled with lots of local traditional products, clothing, foods and small handicraft items to look at - it's pretty much fun except for the crazy weather which is blazing down on us, it's quite packed as well so it might be hard to move from store to store.

*Saw a cute puppy in one of the store and it's just so adorable.*

If you have low tolerance of hot weather like me, you can opt to buy any juice from the store and bring it around to cool yourself down. We also had our lunch there over at a nice restaurant which I don't remember the name but the service there is pretty good and the food are so amazing, it's a quite popular store so it's very easy to find.

Afterwards, we went to the Vanilla Spa over at another location away from Chatuchak. This is like a Japanese x Thailand Massage area, that look hella adorable - I thought it was a café at first glance and everything there is just so beautiful. This is by far the best massage over at Thailand, not just because of the good interior designs but also the massage technique! Vanilla Spa also offer free tea and drinks for their customers as well~

At night, we went to the Asiatique The RiverFront - it kind of seems like Clarke Quay (Singapore) with lots of bars and restaurant. We had our dinner over at the Joe Louis The Art of Thai Cuisine and Thai Puppet Theatre, it's like a restaurant with puppet show. The food is consider to be quite high-end in Bangkok but the food quality is not really good, I don't really like the food there and one of the dish is even uncooked. I ordered the Cocktail over there and it taste like what I would have in a club, like the vodka content in the drink is so high that I can taste it more than the juice that they're putting in.

Afterwards, we went to look around more and had supper over at a Japanese Restaurant around the areas as well and it taste so much better and at that point in time I had a tiny jaw facture from one of my previous massage so I couldn't eat well so it's pretty disheartening.

Day 3:

Day 3 started off with exploring all their shopping centre and finding all the pretty cafes to have different taste to their mango sticky rice, we also had massage today over at a Health and Spa centre where the massage is based on using Tiger Balm to relax the feet and stuff, it was a cooling x hot experience since too much tiger balm can be burning hot if it's not used correctly. At night, we went over to the River Front to have a 2 hour cruise dinner on board of the White Orchid Cruise. So the cruise will bring us around the whole river area , to look at the amazing building and structure and we get to pass by and under one of their beautiful bridge.

So that sums up my day 3 journey, on the last day we had to leave the hotel at about 1pm then we checked in and get ready to jet back to Singapore- it's a pretty short but fun trip.

I watched "The Girl On The Train" during my flight and it was the most exciting movie ever, had my dinner over at the in-flight meal service and I guess that's all for my trip! x

Thank you for reading (: x have a lovely day ahead of you.
